Semi-Permanent Makeup

Social media is full of celebrities with rosy lips, flawless brows, and on fleek eyeliner. Now it is your turn; with semi-permanent makeup you can have a long lasting makeup look without the stress and time of applying it. No more smudging, no more sweating the makeup off during exercise, just flawless makeup that gives you the confidence to get up and go.

As all clients have different pain thresholds, we can not guarantee whether the treatment will hurt you; we can do everything possible to prevent the pain. We use an anaesthetic cream to numb the area and ensure the discomfort is as minimal as possible. However, most clients report the pain being little to no discomfort.

All semi-permanent make up will eventually require a top-up; some will need to be reapplied after 18 months, some will need to be reapplied 2-3 years after the first application.

It is important to tell your practitioner about any medicines or dietary supplements you are taking; some medicines can adversely affect the way the treatment works or increase your risk of bruising.

If you are taking supplements such as Gingko Biloba, Garlic, fish oils, St. Johns Wort or some pain killing medicines such as aspirin or ibuprofen, then these can increase your risk of bruising and it may be advisable to stop taking them a few days before your treatment. It is also advisable that you do not drink alcohol the night before your treatment, for the same reason.

Make-up will need to be removed prior to the  treatment and you will be advised not to reapply it until the area is fully healed to avoid infection. Be aware of the necessary aftercare advice and that your schedule allows for you to follow it.

After Treatment:

  • DO NOT touch or rub the treated area
  • DO NOT sweat excessively
  • DO NOT apply makeup to the treated area
  • DO NOT expose the area to UV light
  • DO NOT undertake facial massage or chemical skin peels
  • DO NOT take aspirin for 48 hours. This will reduce the chance of bruising
